A double post in one this week as I share my simple makes with moss and candles in the greenhouse and welcome my daughter Lilly to A Bunch Of Wild.
I’ve been back in the greenhouse making more arrangements simply using moss, candles and vintage treasures that I’ve picked up over the years. I have lots of moss growing in my garden and you can buy plain white candles quite reasonably, the combination always makes the most elegant displays with minimal effort required yet will instantly make you happy to sit near it.
I will often buy chipped vintage china for a fraction of the cost to use in my garden arrangements, I’m also less precious about them then which always makes them last longer. There’s no point being terrified of using something beautiful, it’s there for you to enjoy it! This one set me back £18 but I have plain ones that I’ve bought for around £9. Load them up with moss or add stones in the bottom and plant with bulbs. They make gorgeous winter arrangements, you could even gift a display to a friend.
So on other news this week, Lilly my daughter has joined me at A Bunch Of Wild. Lilly is training to be a florist at Shuttleworth and she will also be learning alongside me and eventually will be dealing with the seasonal bouquets of flowers next year. She has started off this week by working on some garden foliage bundles that you can purchase. A beautiful bunch of seasonal foliage, hand-picked and wrapped by Lilly is available now for collection or delivery by Royal Mail and includes stems of laylandii (my preferred foliage at Christmas), mixed evergreens and ivy berries.
Perfect for making your winter arrangements at home or a small wreath. Hang over pictures or line the mantelpiece. Freshly picked to order, simple, seasonal and no air miles!
That’s it from me this week. I will be back next week with another winter arrangement. I’ll pop the link bellow if you’d like to view or order a foliage bundle from Lilly.
Have a good rest of the week, wrap up warm.
