Hello my flower loving friends, how are you?
I’ve been on my hols and it’s been lovely but I always love coming back home to my garden (and bed). When I arrived back the foxgloves had just about gone over - they were splendid this year and there was a lot of dead heading of the roses to be done. The verbena has shot up and has in a way replaced the drama from the foxgloves so it’s still looking lovely! Inspired by my garden and after a last sell out collection I have painted another series of small floral watercolours, I’ll share more pics in a moment and put a link to the shop bellow so you can take a peak.
On other news- the greenhouse is finally glazed huuurrrahhhh and now I’m just trying to figure out how to lay the floor, I have a load of reclaimed bricks that have been sitting in the garden for ages so I’m going to use them. My raised beds are now full and are a mix of veg and flowers that I’m going to be using for floral days later in the year. I don’t really want to call them workshops as it’s more a coming together in the garden to do something lovely and eat delicious seasonal cake, more on that later.
I’ve been a watercolour artist for nearly 30 years and I’ve recently started painting small after painting larger oils for quite some time. I think the new garden has really inspired these. Would you like to come and paint with me in the garden? Let me know. These originals are now in my art shop along with my ceramics and fabrics.
More garden updates to follow as the main garden design takes shape.
