Hello my dear friends,
The garden is looking lovely despite my efforts 😂 there is turf up all over the place, beds half dismantled and garden furniture abandoned as the great cutting garden design starts to take place. Amidst the chaos the wildflowers grow, I no longer call them weeds, not even the dandelions, I welcome them all now - with their resilience they’ve earned my respect and now I’ve stopped trying to tame everything within an inch of it’s life (90s gardener) I appreciate it’s tangled beauty all the more. Maybe I’ve just given up fighting a losing battle or maybe as I grow older I see the grace in the what has been perceived as ugly. Either way, I find weeds- ahem wildflowers to be enchanting. Last week I picked up a couple of vintage tureens and at the weekend I made a wildflower arrangement from the garden to celebrate the month of May. I hope you find inspiration within it.
If you enjoy my posts, please feel free to share them with someone who you feel would benefit from them.
