Something pretty and delicate to lift the day. I’ve been painted these little watercolours over the past couple of months. It’s something I enjoy doing in-between my ceramics, larger oils and the many other creative endeavours I pursue. Inspired by my love of garden flowers- there are just five available.
I’ve always painted watercolours. My grandfather was a watercolour artist and taught me when I was a child. I find I always come back to it when I need to slow down and seek some comfort. Painting quietens my busy mind and soothes my soul. I do love having a busy mind actually but there are times when everyone needs their thing to switch off. My thing(s) are painting, ceramics and my garden, I find they are all linked in a way.
My garden and the landscape feed my creativity. I can’t wait to start planting up the garden beds and sowing seeds. I have my sweet peas that I must start today- I’ll put them in a few millimetres of water in a glass jar and pop them on the windowsill until they germinate, I always start them like this and have a 99% success rate.
Lilly has bought home lots of flowers from her floristry course so I’m going to teach her A Bunch Of Wilds way of treating them. I’ll share more pics later on. My usual weekly post will be out next week and I’m doing a spring planter and musing over change and values, really looking forward to sharing it with you!
I’ve popped the link underneath to my website to view the watercolours. Hope you’re having a good weekend.
