Hello my flower loving friends, I have so much to tell you I’m not sure where to start.
The new garden design is now finished and I’ve started cutting flowers for drying and dying. It’s a lovely place to be and while I’ve been sat here planning some workshop dates I was thinking how lovely it would be to do something informal & relaxing and have come up with the idea to host flower and coffee mornings. These are pre-bookable dates on my website, I have two dates available now with a maximum of four people per morning. It’s a chance to come and have a tour of my new garden, drink tea/coffee and I’ll show you how to pick garden flowers to get the best from them and to encourage more crops. You’ll get to pick flowers for a jam jar to take home with you. These mornings aren’t workshops but purely for reconnecting to the seasons and to do something lovely for yourself. I’ll pop the link at the bottom of the page. My new garden is in Campton, Bedfordshire.
Also I have two workshop dates available in September and October for making a mini dried wreath with flowers dried from my garden. This one shown above is available to purchase if you’d rather have one ready made.
I’ve been busy in my garden studio making pottery, wreaths and painting and have re-launched the shop section of my website. My hand carved wild flower mug shown here is made by me using porcelain clay.
You can find my latest original paintings and a vintage section for decorative home and garden items all on my website.
It’s funny as it feels like it’s all suddenly come together but actually it’s been two years since I had to put A Bunch Of Wild into a sort of hibernation whilst I closed the shop, put the house on the market, moved house and designed and built a new base for the business. There were times when I honestly didn’t think I’d ever get it back up and running again and the Mr and both my daughters have had to gently nudge me to keep going. It’s hard when you can’t see the end point/finishing line and easy to get lost along the way. Anyway, I’m here now, the garden is blooming and I’m ready to open the garden gate! I hope you enjoy browsing the website, you’ll find a journal there about the garden along with the flower mornings, workshops and my botanical inspired artisan products.
