Hello my flower loving friends,
As I sit and write this at my kitchen table I’m looking out over the gravel garden and watching the wind blow all my blossom off the cherry trees. Anyway, I’m creating this post today as I wanted to tell you about my membership option that is linked to this newsletter. My daughters have been nagging me for ages that I should share all my knowledge and that people would be really interested. So, I very quietly set up a membership and didn’t really tell anyone about it 🙈 I think it was because when I started I had only posted that one post and thought I needed some more behind me to see how this would work, so I started to publish more and now there is a small library of gardening/floral content and I want to do more, I have the bug! I’ll be doing video workshops on cut flower growing, gardening, floristry and floral styling. These workshops will be useful to anyone with a passion for creative gardening and flowers but also to those wishing to start a business from flowers.
I started A Bunch Of Wild back in 2016 on an allotment and I sold my flowers on my pop-up flower stall in Ampthill and at Woburn & Woburn Sands farmers market. I was the original flower lady in the area and that’s something I’m proud of. I went on to open a pretty little shop selling my flowers and art, plus my vintage homeware, sadly it closed as covid hit but I am looking for new premises now. I have styled many events, taught florists how to be florists and been featured in numerous publications. I really enjoy teaching and passing on knowledge and skills about gardening and flowers and I love the idea of being able to teach those of you that live too far away to come to my in-person workshops. The membership is just £10 a month (I will be increasing this at some point but it will stay fixed if you join at this price) and you have the option to cancel at any time.
I hope you will join me on this flower growing venture as I turn our new garden into a place full of gorgeous blooms for cutting and styling. This coming month I will be showing you how I take my dahlia cuttings amongst progress news on our garden design, starting with a turf lifter 🤗 and raised beds. Previous content has been on storytelling for social media and making a business out of cut flowers, plus a quick guide to lightroom. New content will still involve creative business tips but also more gardening advice and workshops in floristry. Click from the paywall to subscribe (not the free spot, you can use that on another of my posts to try it out first) and get access to my library of previous paid posts.
