Hello my dear friends, so July has been busy but not with much work. It was my birthday the other week and I’ve been doing so many things. I started this month with a trip to Suffolk with my youngest daughter where we stayed in the most delightful Airbnb! I’ll share some pics and the link with you, it really was very special and I felt so at home there. If I could of bought it I would of, I could quite easily live there.
It was also my wedding anniversary so the hubs and I spent some time in the Cotswolds at one of my favourite places- Kelmscott. Also the home of William Morris. I get so inspired when I travel around our wonderful island!
I really needed this month to reconnect with myself and my business. Being a full time creative is wonderful and I wouldn’t want to be anything else but it does require down time to just switch off and reboot. It’s essential to let fresh ideas flow.
I’ve also been spending a lot of time in my garden and decorating my French Shed. Plus I’ve visited a couple of open gardens and sniffed my way around some fabulous roses!
And now I find myself back in my studio, reflecting on how beautiful this month has been and I’m inspired to start work again! I’m going to be creating some functional but highly decorative pieces with lots of flowers. So I’ll leave you to it as I’m going to get started now!
Have a great weekend.
Emma xx
