Hello my flower loving friends, a special little post to mark the winter solstice. It’s a photo heavy one! Today we did the Christmas food shop and finished wrapping the presents and by 3.30 I was feeling pretty frazzled and still not a parsnip in sight, so I decided to make some tea and walk down to the greenhouse.
The first of the hellebores have just started flowering and are so beautiful, I could only bring myself to snip one, although I think one is all it needs. Armed with fairy lights and candles, I wanted to create something with some magic to spend some time in and just feel calm for a while.
As the night grew darker the place came alive and the fairy lights looked so pretty, like fireflies dancing.
That’s it from me for now, I’ll be over on instagram sharing more festive pics if you’d like to follow along there- i’ll pop the link at the bottom. Wishing you all a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. I’ll be back soon with more garden styling and flower tips.
